Tarek El Rahbani is the Sr Reginal Director of the Growth Emerging Markets - South (Middle East & Africa Region) at Boston Scientific.
Having led the commercial activities of several multinationals across large, diversified geographies Tarek is a senior business professional with 24 years of experience across different sectors of the Healthcare Industry.
Tarek started his career in the Pharma industry back in 1999 where he handled several positions of increased responsibility in sales and marketing, including a Global Marketing Assignment at Merck & Co in the US, gaining Global exposure to healthcare markets in developed and developing nations.
In 2008 Tarek moved into the Medical Equipment & Diagnostics field, joining GE healthcare as the Commercial Leader for their Medical Diagnostics business in the Middle East Region. He worked also for Medtronic from 2013 till 2019, leading the Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure business, across more than 70 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
In 2019 Tarek Joined Boston Scientific as the Managing Director of the Middle East and North Africa Region, where he built and developed a strong team and strengthened the company’s presence across the region executing several strategic initiatives.
Tarek has a solid track record of financial and business goals achievement, coupled with significant contributions to the organizational growth of leading Med-tech multinationals in the region. During his career he managed to establish strong partnerships with leading regional distributors and worked closely with key physicians and policy makers to expand access-to-therapy for patients and develop local competencies of healthcare practitioners in emerging market.
